Anybody can photograph a finished counter. The question worth asking a fabricator you have not worked with before is simpler than that: is this a real shop, or is it one person with a van and a subcontractor? Here is ours, running.

One roof, and the same hands

Cutting, forming, welding, grinding and polishing all happen on this floor, under one roof. Nothing is farmed out to a second shop, which is most of the reason a small job is possible here at all and why a question gets an answer the same hour.

The person who answers the phone is the person at the bench. There is no estimator, no project manager and no production queue between your drawing and the metal.

Why we show the machine and not just the piece

Every fabricator website in Massachusetts shows finished stainless under good light. None of them show the floor. That is a strange gap, because the floor is what a buyer is actually deciding about when the company is new to them.

C&S has been in operation since 2022. We do not have sixty years of history to point at, so we point at the shop instead. It is the honest version of the same argument.

On the floor

Cutting Sheet goes on the laser table Parts are cut from the drawing, not traced by hand from a template. That is what holds a dimension across a run of identical pieces, and it is why a cut out for equipment lands where the schedule says it lands.

Forming The brake, and the stack waiting for it Cut flat, then folded here. Edges, turn ups and coved corners are formed in the metal instead of built from separate pieces screwed together, which is the difference you feel a year later.

Welding The joint, at the bench In stainless the weld is the product. Ours are ground back and blended into the surface, so a food contact seam becomes a surface and not a trap. This is the step the industry photographs least and gets judged on most.

Assembly A sink run, on the floor Long assemblies are set up complete in the shop and checked before anything is wrapped. Punch list items get found here, at the bench, instead of on your floor with a truck outside.

Finishing The last pass is a hand The finish is checked by the person who welded it. Nothing leaves on a schedule alone.

Can I visit the shop?

Yes. Call first so somebody is at the bench and not out on a measure.

Do you subcontract any of the work?

No. Cutting, forming, welding and finishing all happen on this floor, done by the people who will carry the piece into your room.

Who installs it?

The same crew that built it. There is no separate install team learning the job on delivery day.
