Architectural rail is judged at eye height by people who are not thinking about metal. The weld either disappears or it is the only thing they see. Ours are ground back and blended, so a post reads as one line from the floor to the return.

Fabricated from the stair as built

A stair is never exactly what the plan set drew. We take the rail dimensions from the opening as it was actually built, then fabricate. Nothing gets cut in place with the finishes already in, which is where a rail job usually goes wrong and takes a floor with it.

Infill, and what each one asks of you

Glass infill wants the posts set first and the glass measured to the opening as built. Horizontal bar infill carries a single line down a flight and returns cleanly into the wall, and its spacing is set by code, not by taste. Panel infill is the quiet, serviceable answer where hands and carts hit the rail every day.

Why stainless and not painted steel

There is no coating to chip where hands land, no annual repaint on a stair that never closes, and the same cloth that cleans everything else cleans the rail. In a wet or high traffic run it stays serviceable instead of becoming a maintenance line item.

What we need to quote it

You do not need a finished drawing to get an answer. Any one of these three is enough to start:

A plan set.
A sketch on paper.
A photo of the piece that failed.

Questions we get

Do you work in occupied buildings?

Yes. Cutting and welding happen at the shop wherever possible, so what happens on your floor is setting and fastening, not fabrication.

Can you match rail that already exists in the building?

We measure the existing profile and finish and match what the material allows. Where an exact match is not possible, you hear it before we start.

Who supplies the glass?

Either side can. If we do, the glass is ordered off the opening as built, after the posts are set.
